How do I look after my brass ?

For antiqued finished brass, simply use a damp cloth to clean the surface. No chemicals required and certainly no buffing, unless you want to remove the antique surface.
For bright polished brass - this is high polished brass in it's raw form, it will oxidise over time and dull slightly. Brass can be brought back to life with an off the shelf brass polisher such as Brasso, and a bit of elbow grease. Brass is not like silver ! You won't need to polish it very often and it will retain it's shine for a long period of time ..
