Description

The girl in the daisy dress is flying her kite in the blustery sky. The kite is held aloft by a piece of string that forms a quote from the timeless bombshell Lauren Bacall- 'Imagination is the highest kite' Yes. And it's a kite I think we should all fly as often as possible.

Limited edition of 35.

Inspiration: I get a bit cross when kids are playing and adults are busy telling them are not doing it right. They say silly things like 'that doesn't look much like a tea-pot' and they are fools because it really doesn't matter what the tea-pot look like when you are pouring imaginary tea. Gradually kids get that whole side of them squashed out and go off to live their angular concrete western lives. I say, they are missing out. Join the crusade and grow your imagination back.

Process: Lauren's kite was printed by myself with three silkscreens on heavyweight cartridge paper.

Make it a gift for a nursery, or anyone who likes to- or needs to- play- especially if that person is you. Frame it for a wall; post it to a friend; pop it in a scrapbook. Don't forget to see my other matching prints, like the red balloon).

Size: Printed by me on acid free, smooth, heavy weight, A4 cartridge paper. A4 is 297x210mm (11.7.8.3 inches) Fits standard sized frames (either for A4 or 8x10) (frames are not provided)

Materials: I use water based (eco friendly) acrylic inks in summery cornflower yellow, pastel blue and chocolate brown to make and inspirational nostalgic retro feeling artprint. All materials are archival to last as an heirloom into the future.
Framing:
Please note I cannot accept international orders for framed prints. In this instance, please select unframed, Thanks.

Now available to order fully framed in a white wooden frame (please see final photo). These frames are a spacious 302 x 382mm, with 2cm x 2cm white subtle wood textured moulding made by framishly in the U.K. There is a white mount with an A4 opening.

The frames are fronted with clear styrene, and have an MDF back board kept in with flexipins. They each come ready to hang.

Important stuff: My screenprints are hand printed and hand registered by eye and unlike computer generated images are subject to slight variations that make each a unique piece of art.
