FAQs

All orders are shipped via Royal Mail, either First Class to the UK or international for Worldwide orders. All prints are sent in board backed envelopes including A3 prints. Prints are dispatched between 1 and 3 working days. If you require rushed shipping then please feel free to email me on hello@printisdead.co.uk and I'll do my best to have it shipped next day but cannot guarantee this - I work full time outside of Print is Dead so it might not always be possible.

Please remember that shipping times worldwide can vary from country to country and at certain times of the year this can be slower than the Royal Mail estimations (e.g. at Christmas)
I generally send untracked depending on the value of the order, as it doesn't make it arrive any faster but adds to the shipping costs! For higher value items, packages or orders, I will always send tracked and a tracking number will be provided.
Yes! Everything is designed by me, Elyssa Long. As part of the design process, I may use stock imagery, textures, fonts etc. and I purchase licenses when I use these aspects from Creative Market. I also make use of public domain vintage imagery in parts of some designs, but everything I use is only ever part of a design and never used standalone.
Not everything! I work with different printers to produce the digital prints and products such as pocket mirrors, badges and t-shirts. Anything 'hand printed' has been produced in my own studio. I have a small block printing press which I use for my lino prints.
The name is based on the seemingly contradictory phrase 'The King is Dead! Long live the King!', so it's about the continuation of print, in a time when printed media is becoming less commonplace and about celebrating traditional printing methods. And of course, I'm selling prints inspired by the macabre so it's a little double entendre too.
I started Print is Dead during my MA in Graphic Design at Nottingham Trent University in October 2017, but I've been working commercially as a Graphic Designer and illustrator for almost 10 years now after originally graduating with a BA in Graphic Design from the Arts Institute at Bournemouth. Print is Dead was my opportunity to work on a brand that could encompass my own interests and artwork that I wanted to create.
Absolutely - if you're after a different size, colour or want something created completely from scratch I am open to custom orders and will see if I can accommodate. Message me through Etsy and we can take it from there.
I certainly can't stop you and believe in tattooing anything you like on yourself! However, it would be appreciated if you do want to get some of my work tattooed that you buy the print - after all, if you love it enough to have it permanently added to your body you must love it enough to buy it! It would also be nice if you let your tattoo artist know who I am and to attribute the original design accordingly if they're promoting it online. Finally, I'd also love to see it after you've got it done (no particular reason for this other than it being cool!)
