Some experience in watercolour painting is advised.

This would make a great gift for an aspiring artist, on its own or combined with other tutorials to make a small collection to give.

A list of paints and paper used is included along with colour illustrated step by step instructions.
If you fancy having a go at painting with watercolours, this step by step flower painting project will show you many easy techniques. It is a lesson in painting loosely and as such does not have a line drawing to copy or trace. The aim is to paint without being restricted by line which always tends to make you “ tighten up”. Best for someone who has a little experience with watercolour but would like to paint in a looser style.

Learn how to create a lively and loose flower painting with very little drawing. See how allowing colours to run together can help produce an interesting image and leaving things slightly unfinished give something for the viewers imagination to connect to.

There is a list of materials to use and the different techniques are covered in step by step with clear photographs included with this digital download.

This tutorial can be viewed on your computer, tablet or printed to work from. It includes my step by step guide with colour photographs on how to complete a painting in watercolour. This project is for personal use only.

I have over 25 years experience in teaching watercolour painting and have written many step by step painting projects over the years. I have tried them all out on my students so I know they work! The tutorial was well explained and easy to follow. I enjoyed painting the daffodils (twice) and I made two birthday cards with them.

The print out was so small it was difficult to see any of the descriptions listed. I was hoping to get a line drawing to help with getting the painting set up.
