If you go quietly through the woods you may stumble across a sight like this! This sculpture inspired my dear friend George Hill, the Poet to write this beautiful poem:
Go Quietly.
As I walked through the woods today
scattering autumn leaves around
I blessed the gentle wind that blew
bringing more leaves to the ground.
Then suddenly I saw a fairy
her gaze transfixed ahead
I looked to see that she had seen
a hedgehog just out of bed.
I saw a pair of beady eyes
above a pointed snout
It was Harry, a baby hedgehog
out of hiding and peering about
So walk quietly in the woods my friend
and maybe, - you never know,
perhaps you too will bear witness
to this autumnal wondershow.

The little fairy has a scrim dress and wings and beaded head piece and at full height stands at approx. 26cm high. she can be made to order so if you would like a particular colour scheme, please feel free to ask.
Within my sculptures I endeavour to capture an emotional response through movement and dynamics. These are bespoke, quirky mixed media sculptures all using wire, foil and fabric dipped into a weatherproof textile hardener called Paverpol. Each unique piece is individually made; as they evolve they form a spirit of their own. This keeps the joy of making them alive and exciting.

This is my second purchase from Stephanie and it’s absolutely amazing. The delicacy of the kite is beautiful. The sculpture was packed well enough to make it from the UK to USA with no damage. I love my girl with a kite. She’s beautiful and one of the most original pieces of art I own :) I asked Stephanie to make a girl especially for me as I wanted some changes. She was very helpful and created for me a perfect girl :) She respected all of my wishes so my girl with kite is stunning. It’s such a pleasure to look ar her.
