A neat and dainty little rectangular silver necklace, featuring a silver poppy, hanging from a silver belcher chain, with a handmade silver clasp.

This necklace features a silver poppy flower, on a silver rectangle. The flower is formed from sheet silver, with a tiny silver centre. This has been domed, and soldered onto the rectangle, whilst the stem has been impressed. The pendant was oxidised until it turned a dark slate grey, then partially rubbed back, emphasising the texture, and giving the design a beautiful mellow patina, and a slightly antique feel.

It hangs from a fine silver belcher chain, in a choice of lengths, and fastens with a handmade silver clasp.

It is a really pretty and neat little pendant, measuring 0.8cm by 3cm.

Bold and beautiful, poppies are one of the quintessential summer meadow flowers. In the language of flowers poppies are associated with the imagination, whilst the red poppy represents pleasure.

The poppy is one of the birth flowers for the month of August, and this necklace would make a lovely gift for anyone with an August birthday. It would also be ideal for a summer wedding.

These pendants are individually made by hand, so there will be slight variations from the one shown in the pictures - each one is unique.

This necklace is totally gorgeous. So delicate and beautifully made. This was purchased as a Christening gift for Poppy. The customer service was second to none - arrived beautifully wrapped. Completely recommend this independent jeweller.
