Modular Mitts Knitting Pattern, mitten knitting pattern, knitting patterns for women, mitten knits, hand knitting, digital download, gloves

***INSTANT DOWNLOAD***

Hand knit a pair of striking mitts with this simple but effective modular mitten knitting pattern. This fingerless mitts design keeps your hands cosy and stylish while leaving your fingers free to manage your phone, purse, coat buttons and dog leads.

The hand of the mitts uses two square modules knitted in garter stitch and two colours. The ribbed cuffs and thumb are then picked up from the hand and knitted in the round. Knitted to the tension stated in the pattern, these delightful mitts have a finished hand circumference of 20cm (8 inch).

This cute pattern would make a great stash busting project, using less than a 50g ball each of two colours of double knit yarn. They are quick to make and would make a lovely gift, or make a few pairs in different colours to match your favourite jackets.

Materials:
• One 50g (125m/136yds) ball of DMC Woolly in shade 74 for yarn A (main colour), and one 50g (175m) ball of Rowan Felted Tweed DK in Cinnamon shade 175 for yarn B (contrast stripe).
• A pair of 3.5mm needles for working the modules, and a set of 3mm double pointed needles (or alternative sizes to obtain required tension) for knitting in the round.
• A stitch marker and a tapestry needle.

Tension:
The striped square modules measure approx 10cm square worked in garter stitch using 3.5mm needles.

All my patterns are written in English using standard UK knitting terminology.

This four page pdf pattern is available to you for immediate download. Once payment has been confirmed you will receive an e mail with a download link.
