Encased Bead Necklace Tutorial, Polymer Clay PDF Tutorial, PDF Tutorial, Polymer Clay Tutorial, Cane Tutorial, How To encase Polymer Clay.

This tutorial was created by me, using my own designs and process. I have been teaching polymer clay techniques for over 10 years, and this is one of my popular workshops, put into a PDF format so that everyone can encase their own Polymer Clay Beads with a metal surround.

Please note this tutorial covers the making of the beads and this design, but not the beading techniques of putting the pieces together into a piece of finished jewellery, I leave that up to your own imagination and design.

In this tutorial I cover the following:
1. Making 3 variations of a striped cane.
2. How to use your patterned clay to create slightly domed beads with the beading hole already in place.
3. How to encase your clay bead in a metal surround, to give this professional, 'framed' finish.

While this tutorial is suitable for beginners upwards, some experience with Polymer Clay would be an advantage and would probably allow you to achieve more professional results. The tutorial takes you step by step through the process, over 16 pages, with 48 photos of the individual stages. There are also links to my videos on conditioning clay, and completing a Skinner Blend, for anyone new to those elements of the process.

You can make these canes and beads out of any brand of Polymer Clay, and in any colour combination of your choice.

I haven't made this yet, but I plan to. I love all of Fiona's tutorials. She is the best teacher for both beginners and experienced. I found her on youtube and have made nearly all the canes on her channel. Her techniques are easy to follow and her artistic talent is inspiring. Thank you, Fiona, for all you do!
