Dolls House Tiles Tutorial, Kaleidoscope Pattern Tutorial, Polymer Clay Tutorial, PDF Tutorial, Dolls House Tutorial, Code: DHTTut.

This tutorial was created by me, using my own designs and process. I have been teaching polymer clay techniques for over 10 years, and this is one of my popular 'miniature' workshops, put into a PDF format so that everyone can make their own unique Dolls House Tiles from Polymer Clay.

In this tutorial I cover all the elements needed to create your unique tiles.

1. I show you how to simplify an ornate pattern into one applicable to Polymer Clay cane work.
2. How to create the various design elements within the cane.
3. How to build a complex cane.
4. How to create your individual tiles, including advice for fitting them in your Doll's House, with finishing techniques.

While the notes cover making tiles for a Dolls House, they are equally useful in just making a complex Polymer Clay cane, which can then be Kaleidoscoped to use in making a Polymer Clay veneer. This could be used to make various decorative works in jewellery and other crafts.

This tutorial is aimed at people with some experience with Polymer Clay, as it deals with complex cane work. However, an experienced crafter would probably also be able to complete the course, and I have, as one of the PDF's, notes for beginners covering all the basic elements of working with Polymer Clay.

The notes are written with the expectation that you will have a Pasta Machine, dedicated to Polymer Clay work, to help with parts of the process.

The tutorial takes you step by step through the process, over 32 pages, with 95 photos of the individual stages. There is also a link to my videos on conditioning clay and the techniques for reducing canes, for anyone new to those elements of the process.

You can make these tiles out of any brand of Polymer Clay, and in any colour combination of your choice.
