We carry with us a little bit of each place that we have lived and I draw those that I have come across. The illustration is a perfect gift for travellers and expatriates who want to remember where they have been or belong. It offers a new perspective of seeing things and leaves an observer to be the main protagonist of the illustration. What they see is completely up to them.
I am Matej and I have developed my unique style concatism in which I skew the reality by merging unrelated parts of objects. It is called according to the CONCAT function that allows joining two or more strings together, for example in Excel. The name celebrates an offbeat connection between function and art.
