Description

HAND BUILT CERAMIC VASE

This is a one of a kind ceramic vase made by me, Tina Schowalter. It was hand built using coils, slabs, and paddling methods. I brushed it with glaze and fired it to 2200 degrees in my kiln. On the bottom, there is a maker's mark. This vase holds water along with fresh flowers perfectly. Please be aware however, that all vases sweat if the water temperature differs from the air temperature. Please protect fine furniture accordingly.

SIZE - 5 3/4 x 5 inches

My ceramic art may contain specks of color, slight undulations, or craters formed by glaze bubbling and bursting while molten hot. These unplanned occurrences give insight to the nature of the process by which the piece was made and to the character of the material, which I think is intrinsic to the beauty of the piece.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS - Don’t drop it! Wash with dish soap and water. Also, “Barkeepers Friend” or "Magic Eraser" can be used to remove any stubborn spots.

SHIPPING - This item is ready to ship in 1 or 2 days. I try to be environmentally friendly and use things like starch peanuts and recycled packaging.
