For a perfect fit , Circumference of shoulder should be measured using an inch tape..
Measure the circumference : Start at the base of your Neck , stretch the tape all the way around taking it above your shoulders , coming over and then under the arms and across the back , coming up , under the arms and finishing at the base of neck .

Its always best to measure yourself , before choosing the size that will fit you .
For your reference below are approximate sizes for Shoulder Circumference :

Small (8-10 UK)
38-40 inches

Medium (12-14 UK)
41- 43 inches

Large (16-18 UK)
44-46 inches
