Description

Know a child or teenager interested in STEM and Art? Or want an unusual gift for a Photographer? With this kit you can make-your-own unique sunprint 'photograph' using the magical power of the sun and build-your-own pinhole viewer to look through and see the world upside down! (guide age 7+ to adult)

This kit uses simple but effective processes to help everyone discover the fascinating art & science of analogue photography. It uses chemistry (Please read the Health & Safety section for further information) and engineering skills to demonstrate the physics of and chemical reactions created by light and learn more about alternative ways of creating photographs and seeing the world. (Please note: This kit builds a pinhole VIEWER to demonstrate the physics of light, not a pinhole camera to take photographs).

The kit arrives in an A4 Kraft folder to keep everything safe and includes:

- Set of ©Little Vintage Photography printed instructions
- Link to instruction video
- Traditional pencil
- Plastic folder
- Black card
- Semi-opaque paper
- Silver foil
- 'Spare' materials (extra pieces of black card / silver foil / semi-opaque paper in case of mistakes)
- String / Mini peg(s) / Pin / Elastic bands / Black electrical tape
- Pack of sunprint objects to try out (assorted feathers/buttons/foil cutouts)
- Handmade Pre-coated Gift/Luggage Tag (wrapped in foil)
- Handmade Pre-coated Bookmark (wrapped in foil)
- Handmade Pre-coated 6x4" Sunprint paper mounted in handstamped 5x7" kraft card/envelope with traditional photo corners

Please note: These kits are individually handmade/hand-coated by me in my home studio (not created by robots in a factory) and every piece is unique, so you may find some your sunprint paper shows brush strokes & imperfections which add to the texture!

A bit about me: I work as a vintage photographer using traditional processes and techniques to combine art, science and technology. I run discover & create workshops for all ages from primary school, through teenage years and for adults who are curious to learn more about alternative ways of creating images. I shoot weddings using a hybrid workflow and have converted a vintage caravan called Rosie who I hire out as a travelling camera-obscura, photobooth and mini-darkroom. You can find out more about me & my work at www.littlevintagephotography.co.uk

Health & Safety: The chemicals used for this vintage photographic process are toxic and therefore the pre-coated paper should not be eaten, ingested or rubbed onto the skin. Whilst there are no liquid chemicals in the kit, when handling the pre-coated paper, you may wish to wear non-porous gloves. You must always wash and dry your hands after each contact with the paper and the water used during the final rinsing/fixing stage. Little Vintage Photography (and subsidiaries) accepts no liability for any accident or injury arising from use or misuse of the product.

Refunds: As these items are unique and made to order, unfortunately I am unable to offer refunds.
