Description

Slim reverse half wells premium fly rod grip with a longer front taper

Firm new season cork with some minor markings and a little tidy filling.

The listing is for the cork grip only. The reel seats shown can be purchased separately.

The reverse half wells grip is found on most production fly rods up to #6. Compared to my fishtail version, this model has a longer front taper with the swell closer to the grip centre.

Two versions offered

Picture 1: 7" 175mm flor cork grip, 7mm bore, not inletted and with a slightly larger rear flare to fit any seat up to LC5/LC20 (with care could fit LC25). Free inletting if you are purchasing it with an uplocking reel seat.

Pictures 2-3: shorter 6.75" 170mm near flor cork grip, pre-inletted 19.5mm, to fit LC1, LC4, LC7, LC10 reel seats, will also fit my UL reel seats with a little careful sanding of the recess. Ideal for my s-glass and shorter carbon fibre rods. Supplied in shrink wrap film.

Length 175mm (7") or 170mm (6.75")
Diameter at thickest part: 24.5-25mm
Bore 7mm / 0.28"
Rear flares to 26.5mm (170mm grip) or 28mm (175mm grip)

On request free inletting on the 175mm grip for recessed hoods if purchased with one of my uplocking reel seats.

If you are purchasing a grip with one of my blanks, the grip will be reamed to fit the blank free of charge.

Delivery policies

We dispatch orders within 1-2 business days by royal mail or courier in the UK, Europe and worldwide.

Delivery is usually by Royal Mail and all items are sent securely packaged. Blanks / rods are posted in a protective tube, purchases of £50 or more are posted with tracking and insurance.

Delivery times are typically 2-3 days in the UK, and by airmail 5-10 days in Europe and 8-14 days worldwide. Deliveries cantake longer especially in other rural areas. Italy usually take at least 14 days . Since 2014 I have only had one package not arrive at all, but a handful have taken 18 to 21 days by airmail even within Europe.

Please bear with me if you are unlucky enough to experience longer than normal postage as Royal Mail provides a lost package service but will not investigate until 20 days after posting. In the event your parcel is lost or damaged, you will receive my choice of a refund or replacement, provided you supplied the correct delivery address in the first place.

We will always combine shipping and will always refund any excess on delivery charged if more then £2. Listed prices are based on single item purchase. Usually additional items that are similar or smaller in size can be posted for little or no additional cost.

Goods include EU / EEA duties and VAT sales tax and no further import charges should apply in the EU-EEA area.

Customers from outside the EU-EEA are responsible for any import duties, charges and sales tax that may apply in your country.

Additional policies

Warranty: new goods are sold with a 12 month warranty for the original purchaser against manufacturing defects unless otherwise stated. I check all stock before dispatch, and you should do so before use. In the rare even your purchase has a defect, please contact me to arrange a return and refund or replacement.

Breakages: The warranty does not cover future accidental damage, normal wear and tear, loss or mis-use. Rods should be stored and transported in a protective tube, and be fully dry after use before storage. Breakages from defects are rare and usually happen soon after purchase.

Future accidential damage or loss may be covered on your Home and Contents insurance policy policy.

Appropriate use: The warrantly is void if the item is modified or used for purposes other than to make a fly rod or (excepting rod blanks) repair a fly rod.

We will replace any defective new item, or offer you your choice of a substitute or refund if no longer available or out of stock. Components are covered individually and the warranty does not extend to the rest of the rod you build from them or any consequential loss.

Returns for replacement or refund: To obtain a replacement all pieces or sections of the original item must be returned so that the defect or cause of breakage can be assessed. Before doing so with a built rod, carefully remove any components you wish to retain for re-use, these will otherwise be disposed of.
