Materials
5.5mm hook
350g Aran/worsted yarn
Needle for sewing in ends

Size
Finished blanket measures approximately 70 X 80cm or 27 ½ X 31½ inches

Adjusting the size of the blanket
To alter the width of the blanket, add or subtract chains from the foundation
chain; Chain needs to be a multiple of 9 +2

Tension
11st and 11 rows in Exsc = 10cm/4in
Using a 5.5mm hook or size needed to obtain tension. This is a guide for sizing and drape but pattern will work if gauge is different.

Stitches used
Ch chain
Ch-Sp chain space
Sc single crochet
sl st slip stitch

ExSc Extended single crochet (UK Extended double crochet) Insert the hook into indicated stitch, yarn over, and pull up a loop. Yarn over, pull through first loop on hook (2 loops left on hook). Yarn over, pull through both loops on hook.

Bobble *Yarn over, insert into indicated stitch, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, pull through 2 (two loops left on hook) Repeat * four more times until there are 6 loops on your hook, yarn over, pull through all loops on hook. See the Melu Crochet Bobble Stitch Guide for step by step photos.
