Description

Harry Potter 'The Grim' inspired hand painted vintage fine bone china tea cup and saucer. This excellent condition fine bone china tea cup was made by Royal Standard in England, and dates from 1953. It was made to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, and is a lovely example of such memorabilia. The image featured on the front of the tea cup of Queen Elizabeth II is a particularly lovely one, and the colours are vibrant. It is edged in gold. I have hand painted the tea cup inside with my interpretation of 'The Grim' tea leaves from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

The tea leaf design in each of my pieces is unique. It will not fade or wash off. However, due to the vintage nature of the china, dishwashing and microwaving are not recommended. It is perfectly safe to hand wash it in hot soapy water: I have been scrubbing the very first one I made regularly since December 2015 (I made it as a Christmas pressie for my daughter) and can verify that every single 'tea leaf' is still in its original place : )

I am now able to personalise the care tags (which I attach to the tea cup handle) by putting a name or a message on them. If you would like me to do this for you, please just let me know at time of purchase. The tags are usually black with silver writing. If you have any special requests though, please just ask, and I'll do what I can to accommodate you.

This would make a wonderful gift for any Harry Potter fan.

Within the UK I will post this item Royal Mail 'Second Class-Signed For' which currently costs £3.95. For international posting I will send it by Royal Mail 'Tracked & Signed For'. In 'Shipping', I have put the cost for Europe, and have put the US to represent 'World Zone 1', and Australia to represent 'World Zone 2'. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. I try to post same day where possible or next working day. If only I had an owl!

Thank you for considering my tea cups : )
