DESCRIPTION:

View A: The Pinafore Dress - without the pocket it is an elegant and simple dress and makes an excellent base for embroidery or applique.

View B: The Pocket Pinafore Dress - with a large statement front pocket is fun to wear, interesting to look at and great for your little Treasure Hunter.

These cool dresses have straps which cross at the back and fasten, with poppers, at the top of the bodice. The straps each have two fastenings to allow them to be lengthened, so extending the life of the dress and can be fastened inside or outside the bodice. The bodice is lined, skirt lining is not included. The skirt is slightly flared and gathered. The back waistband is elasticated and the pocket is the full length of the skirt. Both pinafores are ideal for layering and make great year round dresses.

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS:

This dress is designed for medium weight woven fabrics, such as linen, linen/ cotton blends, lightweight denim (between 3.5oz and 5oz approximately), twill, needle corduroy and cotton.

For View B (the pocket pinafore) in 112cm/ 44 inch wide fabric you will need 1m/ 1.1 yards for sizes 12-18 months to 2-3 years, 1.25m/ 1.4 yards for sizes 3-4 years to 5-6 years and 1.5m/ 1.8 yards for 6-7 years to 9-10 years. You will need slightly less for View A.
