You will receive your sock club at the start of each month. For example, you would have received the JUNE club at the end of MAY/beginning of JUNE.

The shipping charge includes the cost of all three deliveries.

See the separate listing for individual month subscriptions.

The main skein is 100g/400 metres is comes with TWO 20g mini (80 metres each) in different coordinating colours. Includes a themed progress keeper.

Bases and colours: To be a secret mostly! (Episode 75 of my podcast on YouTube shows me dyeing up the August sock club in totally natural colours using plant dyes). All bases are ethically produced and fully traceable. The sock club colourway will be revealed towards the end of the month and a limited number of sets will be available post reveal.

All of my bases are ethically produced. My supplier visits the farms where the flocks of sheep graze whether in the UK mainland or in the British Falkland Islands. He knows the farmers personally and the sheep graze freely in their environment. The fleece are sorted, cleaned and supplied to UK mills for high quality worsted spinning. If the yarn is superwash, it has been treated in the UK, by a company in Yorkshire who use processes that are carried out to have as little impact on the environment as possible. They also ensure the highest safety for their workers.

Dyed in small batches using professional acid milling dyes or plant dyes. The acid dyes are fully exhausted in the dye bath then the skeins are washed and rinsed until no colour remains in the rinsing water. However, to keep the colours looking as fresh as possible, hand wash your finished item in lukewarm water using a mild wool wash product with a slightly acid pH. Do not soak. A slight amount of colour bleed may occur in the first few washes so always wash separately. Natural dyes are by their nature unpredictable and may change colour and fade over time.

Even when a colourway is repeated, and even when dyed in the same batch variations may occur so alternating skeins for big projects is advisable.
