Red dragon necklace. Sterling silver dragon with garnet eyes on a solid silver chain.

Mythical, magical dragons appear in the folklore of almost every culture from around the world. The red dragon, or Y Ddraig Goch, has a particular significance to people of Welsh or Ancient British heritage. It is supposed to have been the battle standard of King Arthur and other ancient Celtic leaders as well as the banner of King Henry VII.

This dragon was made from sterling silver and set with 6mm natural cabochon garnet gemstones for its eyes. The silver was then coated with rhodium, a metal rarer than platinum, and given a red coloured patina.

The dragon head is approx. 3.5cm, or a little under an inch and a half long. Without its chain the dragon weighs around an ounce, or 28.5g. The silver chain weighs an extra 10g, or one third of an ounce.
The silver this dragon was made from has been independently tested and has been stamped with a Hallmark to prove that it is solid sterling silver.

This pendant is supplied in its own gift box.

If you would rather not buy the chain with the dragon, please contact me for a revised price.

All my pieces are handmade in a small workshop in the English countryside and shipped to collectors across the world using insured & recorded post. I do my best to insure all the raw materials I use have been sourced responsibly and I always price my work honestly.

Typical delivery time to the US or mainland Europe is between seven and fourteen days. Shipping usually takes longer around the holiday seasons.

Please read my shop policies and the shipping information. Thank you.

Delivery policies

All orders are insured against loss or damage while in transit, I send orders using tracked & signed shipping whenever possible.

Estimated delivery dates are simply a guide (and can be a little bit optimistic). I cannot guarantee delivery times myself, but shipping to the US or mainland Europe typically only takes between five and ten working days.
Delivery times to other countries (including Canada, Mexico and some developing countries) can vary dramatically. Shipping usually takes a little longer around the holiday seasons.

Unless asked to do otherwise, I will ship to the addresses provided with your Etsy order, so please make sure your Etsy account details are up to date.

Although in many countries, including the United States and EU, you will not be asked to pay import tax on the majority of my designs, you may wish to familiarise yourself with your own country’s policies on importing goods before ordering, as I'm afraid I can't be held responsible for any import duty, or orders delayed by customs or security checks.
Neither can I assume an order has been lost in transit until it has been missing for at least thirty days.
