Item details

Vintage from the 1960s

Dimensions

Length: 1.5 Inches; Width: 1.25 Inches

Vintage scarf clip with mottled blue central 'stone', in a textured pewter-like metal setting.
Very much in the Scottish/Celtic jewellery tradition.
It has a medieval feel with the look of hand carving, possibly part of the Arts and Crafts revival of the 60s and 70s, particularly Ruskin pottery style brooches.
The blue cabochon is imitation agate, and I think made of some kind of resin.
Estimated to be from the 1960s or 1970s.

Condition EXCELLENT - no flaws

These clips are designed for you to put the ends of a scarf through the ring at the back, then close the clip to hold the scarf in place. A very easy way to style a scarf! They work with both square and long scarves.
