Please refrain from wearing your jewellery in a way that could cause excessive wear, such as when sleeping or working out. It should be protected from dust, sunlight, and moisture when in storage.

↞CORD is best kept dry and not exposed to chemicals (perfumes etc). I can be cleaned with lukewarm water, a little delicate soap and a cloth/soft brush.

↞WOOD should be kept dry and not exposed to chemicals. It develops a natural patina with age. Clean with a damp cloth, thoroughly drying afterwards.

↞To loosen, grip the cord/bead adjacent to the inside of the the sliding knot with one hand, and gently pinch the sliding knot with the other. Pull them away from each other. The cord should slide through the knot.
↞To tighten, hold the dangling cords on the outside of the sliding knot and pull them away from the sliding knot.
↞If you are adjusting a pendant necklace please DO NOT GRIP THE PENDANT WHEN ADJUSTING as this may loosen the stone. Instead, hold the sliding knot and cords/beads.

Adjusting can be a little tricky at first if you are not used to this type of jewellery. As the cord is waxed, it helps to adjust your jewellery a few times before wearing to soften the wax. Send me a message if you need help.

I want all of my customers to be happy with their jewellery, which is why I offer a restringing service in case of breakage. All you have to do is send the broken item to me and I will restring it and send it back to you free of charge. Send me a message if your jewellery breaks so we can discuss getting your item fixed.

This service is only available if all care instructions were followed. If it is concluded that there was a failure in how the item was made, or a faulty part then the restringing guarantee will be honoured. I must be contacted 6 months of purchase. If your item is not eligible for free restringing you can still contact me and I will do my best to help.

I am passionate about gemstones, and believe in selling them with transparency and honesty. I use genuine gemstones, some of which are enhanced. This is commonplace for many stones, although they are seldom disclosed by sellers. Enhancements are used to improve appearance and durability - akin to waxing or staining wood. They reduce waste as they result in more usable material, and make gemstones more affordable.

All stones used are personally inspected for signs of enhancement, however enhancements can be difficult to detect even by specialist labs, especially as some recreate natural processes. If an enhancement is known, or suspected due to the gemstone being commonly enhanced, this will be stated in the listing.

Mighty Moon is an eco conscious brand which uses plastic free packaging to reduce the environmental impact of delivering your jewellery.

You are welcome to send your order direct to the recipient (be sure to change your address to the recipients at checkout). Your items will arrive in a cotton pouch, ready for gifting. Multiple items will be packaged together unless otherwise specified in 'notes to seller' at checkout. Orders will be shipped safely in a padded recycled paper mailing bag that is fully compostable and recyclable. 

No invoices will be included unless requested. I am legally required to declare the value on a customs label for non UK orders.

Look under ‘details’ in the listing description to see if an item is a one off or made to order. One off items will be the exact item pictured. Items that are made to order will be custom made once your order has been placed. This means there can be a slight difference between the listing images and the item you receive. If any new materials received have more than a slight variation from the original pictures the item will be remade with the new materials and the photographs updated.

Please look at all listing images and descriptions carefully before ordering. Take note of images showing scale, such as jewellery being worn, and also the measurements given in the listing to ensure that you will be happy with your items size when received.

The jewellery from Mighty Moon is handmade by the shop owner, Lyneth (that’s me!). My studio is located in Wales, UK. I create each piece using the craft known as macramé, which has ancient origins stemming from many cultures. Cords are intricately interwoven using specialist knots to create decorative patterns.

The cord primarily used is a waxed synthetic that is durable, fade and water resistant. I also work with natural cords such as linen and hemp, but do not use these primarily as they require special care to stay in good condition.

The gemstones & wood beads used are genuine, and any known enhancements are declared in the listing (see FAQs above).

I’m afraid that I am currently not accepting custom orders. I have many different gemstones in stock and often create new designs, so please check back soon if you do not see anything that is quite what you want available now. Most orders are shipped untracked as standard, with tracking upgrades available during checkout (click on postage method to show options).

Items usually arrive within the estimated delivery dates but please be aware there may occasionally be delays which are out of my control. Please double check your shipping address. If a parcel is undeliverable due to unpaid customs/import fees, an incorrect address or other issues that I am not responsible for and the order is returned to sender the buyer will be responsible for covering the reshipping costs.

Items that are considered lost in the post will be fully refunded (plus 10% discount if you decide to reorder).
