Description

This really lovely Here's a really lovely old Horse Brass featuring a Fox. The fox is often associated with the figure of the trickster, but as a spirit animal, it can also turn into a teacher, providing guidance on swiftly finding your way around obstacles. If you follow the fox totem, you maybe called to use or develop quick thinking and adaptability. Responsive, sometimes cunning, this power animal is a great guide when you are facing tricky situations.

Horse brasses were made as ornaments for the harnesses of heavy, working horses, many might be hung together on straps for decoration, and were made to commemorate special occasions, people, places, animals, and more, used left often for their intended purpose, they are collected by many and used as charms in folk magic. The museum of Witchcraft in Boscastle, Cornwall has a collection.

It's about 3.5 inches in length. Nice patina has not been over cleaned.
