Nadia Boulanger was a French composer, conductor, and teacher. She is notable for having taught many of the leading composers and musicians of the 20th century. Her students include Copland, Philip Glass, Milhaud, Piazzolla, John Eliot Gardiner.

This drawing is one of a growing series of composer portraits. I paint every portrait by hand with brush and ink, and add the background colour digitally. If you have any questions about the colour or size, or want to suggest new composers just get in touch!
