Vintage from the 1960s

glass, Turquoise glass, Royal blue glass

Height: 9 Inches; Width: 6.5 Centimetres

A striking single stem bud vase by Murano, Italy. Most likely by Flavio Poli or Galliano Ferro, as typical of their style, quality and colours. Circa 1960s vintage.

Pale cyan or turquoise blue glass outer layer with a striking inner Royal Blue sommerso layer. It's tactile, rounded and pointy in shape, like an off-centre teardrop. The neck is tall and slim, designed for just one slim single stem flower, if anything. The attractive flat polished rim is slanted at an angle.

Excellent condition with no chips or obvious nibbles or scratches. 22.3cm tall x 6.5cm wide max near the base. Flat polished base - typical of the Murano makers and the age/era. There's a spot near the rim that has an internal imperfection, like a small bruise, which you can see in some lights. There's the smallest of small fleebites on the top outer edge. Photos of the rim are taken on a macro setting so you can see the internal edge too. Rim opening is 15mm x 10mm. It has only been lightly used. See photos - photos don't do it justice!

Quality carefully made mouth-blown/handmade vintage item. I'd give it a 9/10... really nice!

This seller usually responds within a few hours.

Items weighing under 2kg total will be posted by 2nd class Royal Mail. If it's a high value item I'll add Signed For. Items weighing over 2kg will be posted by Hermes, and if they are high value I'll add Signed For. I may not be able to post to some areas of the UK, such as the Channel Islands, but I'll give it a good go! I'll try to post within 24 hours (when Post Office opening hours allow).
All postage abroad will be by Royal Mail's International Tracked and Signed service, so will need signing for your end. Please say if you'd prefer just a Tracked service instead. I can't post anything that weighs over 2kg or is larger than a 'small parcel'.
I have specially chosen these items to be of superior quality and condition for their age and era. All my items are vintage (25+ years old) and may naturally have some wear and tear which may not be in the description. I have written everything to the best of my ability, and tried to describe any obvious flaws. The photos also help to show the condition - please view all photos and read the descriptions.
For lower value items I'm happy for you to provide the address and unique code for a UK onward mailing company, but I cannot accept responsibility for any damage or non-delivery beyond the mailing company's address. Once the UK mailing company has safely received the parcel it is no longer my responsibility.
Why buy new? Buy vintage, and help protect the planet. You're rescuing vintage pieces for future generations. Also, please don't bin my packaging - save, re-use and recycle. Thank you.
I use large bubble bubble-wrap with strengthening card and sturdy cardboard boxes. I often double box for safety and I re-use old newspapers to fill any gaps. I have been selling on Etsy for over five years and know and trust my packing. Jewellery is posted in small sturdy cardboard jewellery boxes, in a mailing bag. (Please re-use or recycle any packaging!)
UK free postage is factored into all my prices... I think UK customers like to see an upfront price including postage with no hidden surprises. Sorry I can't offer free post worldwide.
