A set of four smoke (retro greeny/grey) vintage shot glasses in the 'Canada' design by Per Lutken for Holmegaard, Denmark. The design dates from 1955, and they were in production until 1990. These could date from any time from the 1950s to 1980s, but most likely to be 60s/70s vintage.

'Canada' is a Danish Modern classic design, as featured in Vigier and Pina's 'Scandinavian Glass 1930-2000, Smoke and Ice' book. The smoke version of Canada is often referred to as Scanada because the original boxes used S for smoke as a prefix before 'Canada'. Also see: http://www.hardernet.dk/Stemware/Canada_Smoke-Per_Lutken_HG_1955-1990_2007.htm

These are the smallest size Canada glasses - the '8.2cm snapsglas'. Snaps in Denmark is usually a strong spirit called Akvavit or Cordial (liqueur). Apx 1 oz size, so perfect for stronger smaller single shots. They are all 8cm tall. Unsigned. Being handmade they vary very slightly, see photos.

I don't think these have been used. Excellent collectable and usable examples. The smoke colouring is typical of the mid century era - perfect to go with your retro home.

Includes P&P to the UK.

Items weighing under 2kg total will be posted by 2nd class Royal Mail. If it's a high value item I'll add Signed For. Items weighing over 2kg will be posted by Hermes, and if they are high value I'll add Signed For. I may not be able to post to some areas of the UK, such as the Channel Islands, but I'll give it a good go! I'll try to post within 24 hours (when Post Office opening hours allow).
All postage abroad will be by Royal Mail's International Tracked and Signed service, so will need signing for your end. Please say if you'd prefer just a Tracked service instead. I can't post anything that weighs over 2kg or is larger than a 'small parcel'.
I have specially chosen these items to be of superior quality and condition for their age and era. All my items are vintage (25+ years old) and may naturally have some wear and tear which may not be in the description. I have written everything to the best of my ability, and tried to describe any obvious flaws. The photos also help to show the condition - please view all photos and read the descriptions.
For lower value items I'm happy for you to provide the address and unique code for a UK onward mailing company, but I cannot accept responsibility for any damage or non-delivery beyond the mailing company's address. Once the UK mailing company has safely received the parcel it is no longer my responsibility.
Why buy new? Buy vintage, and help protect the planet. You're rescuing vintage pieces for future generations. Also, please don't bin my packaging - save, re-use and recycle. Thank you.
I use large bubble bubble-wrap with strengthening card and sturdy cardboard boxes. I often double box for safety and I re-use old newspapers to fill any gaps. I have been selling on Etsy for over five years and know and trust my packing. Jewellery is posted in small sturdy cardboard jewellery boxes, in a mailing bag. (Please re-use or recycle any packaging!)
UK free postage is factored into all my prices... I think UK customers like to see an upfront price including postage with no hidden surprises. Sorry I can't offer free post worldwide.
