As per description and expectations, I received this collection, in pocket format, of 12 songs, transcribed in modern notation. Ideal for those who want to approach the music of troubadours and troubadours. The authors accompany the music with the original lyrics and the English translation and offer a pronunciation guide of medieval French and the Occitan language. The authors also offer useful guidance and information about context, notation and performance practice. Highly recommended!
Fascinating music, and the history associated with it. Lovely little book. Thanks.I play bassoon, but at 73 yo I'm a bit old to think of taking up an early instrument, but I am. This music has a powerful attraction.
Nice quality. Pages have neat, solid printing. Arrived in good condition.
Really interesting! Songs which I haven't seen in print before, in a user-friendly edition perfect for those of us used to modern notation. Thank you!
