DISTINCTIVE DESIGN

Our handmade wooden fox is a EU certified toy, but it could also be used as a collectible, nature table object or home / office decoration. With its exquisite artistic design it stands out among fast to mass produce flat cartoonish wooden animals.

We have designed it to teach appreciation of beauty, art and craftsmanship, to open a child’s imagination, yet the toy is fairly realistic and features the distinct fox shape, color and posture.

It can be combined with the other animals from our woodland collection as it matches them in size and style.

EDUCATIONAL AND PLAY VALUE

If your children are charmed by tales and stories, they might have already heard or read some of the many folklore tales and authored stories featuring Fox as a character. They would love to act these plots out and make up their own while playing with Fox. Play is invariably enriched by literature, and children grow their imagination and develop their thinking and speaking skills while engrossed in meaningful play away from screens.

If your child is growing up as a passionate explorer of nature, you could use Fox to start conversations to teach about fox habits and its interactions with its habitat, further branching out to many other topics. The lessons learned will surely be included later in children’s open-ended play scenarios to support their long-term background knowledge, which is one of the most important factors for future educational success.

We have designed this toy not only to be visually appealing but also to meet the needs of parents and teachers who might wish to use a wooden animal toy for different purposes as part of different educational methods.

CONVENIENCE

Fox is not tiny, but it is small enough to easily fit into a child’s hand and pocket, so it might be taken wherever its little friend goes to keep them company and engage them in long joyful play.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Do not soak in water. Wash each toy separately with soapy water with some vinegar. Rinse as quickly as possible. Immediately dry with a towel. Let air dry.
For disinfection you can use rubbing alcohol. We recommend spiritus aethylicus for medical purposes.
Do not put on or near heaters. Do not keep under direct sunshine for too long. Moisture and heat can cause warping and cracking in wood, so wooden products should not be exposed to these for too long.
When toys feel too dry, they need to be oiled and / or waxed. We recommend linseed oil and beeswax waxes. Other oils and waxes could be used too: mineral oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil. Vegans can use carnauba wax instead of beeswax.

ETHICS

This originally designed and handcrafted figurine was made in Bulgaria by a team of two friends who work in their little workshop in a small town. Grateful for the opportunity to practice what we love, we would like to be able to create jobs not only for ourselves but also for other people who would otherwise live in poverty or leave for the big city. We use beech wood from sustainably managed forests and European materials certified for toy safety. We use resources sparingly. By buying our toy and committing to maintain it and pass it on for generations of children, you are helping preserve not only a community but also the environment.

INSPECT THE PRODUCT WITH CARE. When you receive a product, please inspect it in a way you would be allowed to in a physical shop - carefully so that you do not damage it.

WRITE TO US WITHIN 14 DAYS OF RECEIVING THE PRODUCT. It does not matter if you received it personally or through a third party (for example a friend or a neighbour).

SEND THE PRODUCT BACK TO US WITHIN 30 DAYS OF DELIVERY. Please, make sure you pack carefully to prevent it from damaging. Use the original packaging and return the labels as well. Keep proof that you have sent the item so that you can trace it and know when we have received it

Customers pay for the shipping of returned items.

If you have used the shipping methods we offer to receive the product from us, we will fully refund the shipping costs we paid to send you the item. If you have used a more expensive one than the standard one offered by us, you will bear the difference in cost between the two types of delivery.

TRACKING YOUR PACKAGE. We will provide you with a tracking number when we ship the item, so that you can follow your package online.

WRONG ADDRESS. If you notice you have given us a wrong address, contact us as soon as possible to provide us with the correct one. If the product ships to a wrong/nonexistent address, the package will most likely eventually be returned to us, and in certain cases we might have to pay for the return postage. If you want us to send you the package again to another address, you need to pay shipping charges again OR place a new order if you do not want to wait for the original package to be returned to us.

UNCLAIMED MAIL
If you fail to receive the product, we will refund the price of the product once we receive it back, but we will not refund the shipping costs.

LOST DELIVERY
In case of lost delivery, we will send you a refund once the postal service provider confirms the loss. Please, contact us if you believe your order has been lost.

PRODUCT DAMAGED IN SHIPPING
If your item is damaged in shipping, please take clear photos of the item in damaged packaging and send them to us. We will discuss with you whether / how to send the item back, and we will send you refund.
