I loved how it turned out, but the instructions are limited. Without the video tutorial I found on YouTube I would’ve been so lost. I didn’t like the raw edges on the external pocket, and was thankful the YouTube tutorial showed how to make it without the raw edge with an extra piece of fabric. I modified the straps and added a drink pocket and big back pocket. This was my first time working with bias tape and it was a challenge, I used 1/2 inch instead of 3/8 that it calls for cause I didn’t want to make my own. Again, came out great just fair warning about the raw edges!
I have just completed the water bottle carrier. The pattern has clearly written instructions with diagrams which make it easy to follow. Perfect size for most bottles, and zipper closure makes it secure. I did one single-pull zipper in mine. If I make another, I will attach one end of the strap to the bottom seam, so the carrier can hang at an angle. Definitely recommend this pattern.
This pattern makes a nice bag. I used a quilt top I designed and pieced in 2013. As a quilt/wall hanging, it wasn't doing it for me anymore, so I thought I'd re-purpose it and make the Ginnifer Bag. Note: If you're not that experienced, the sewing directions and photos can be difficult to follow and understand. I contacted the seller a few times asking for clarifications. Veronica was extremely patient and helpful. She's promised she's going to have her technical editor review the pattern to make it easier to follow and understand for future sewers. Unfortunately, Etsy wont let me upload a photo of my bag via my desktop computer. I shouldn't have to download an app to upload a photo for a review.
