OK so.. It is awesome. I tried to be critical about it and without bias which is impossible when, even though you can see The Tales of the Gashlycrumb shining right through it and the idea is very similar, it is certainly up there. For a first publication David has set the bar way high, too high perhaps as it is that good. I don't think he can top it, I will however look forward to a follow up if ever there will be one, to which I'm confident his pen will be working as hard than a murderers shovel trying to bury the evidence. If I bought it from a book shop, I'd say this was from the very pen of Gorey. It's darker than Gashlycrumb and in a weird twist of it being the younger (which it is) big brother. Exellent work, had me smiling throughout. Prompt delivery with immaculate packaging to go with the atmosphere of the book.

Overall very happy with this item, I purchased the book as a gift for my partner, she really enjoyed the read. My only small criticism is that due to it being self published the printing quality is less polished, for example the imagery has slight pixelation around the edges. Also, when I purchased the signed copy, I expected a simple signature but instead received a message addressed to me. Under normal circumstances that would have been awesome but as it was bought as a gift it would have been nice to have known. (Probably my fault for not checking!)

This is such a fun and delightfully morbid book, I'm so glad I picked it up! Such a creative way to learn A-Z, although I may pass on reading it to my toddler for a while yet 😂 I'm so happy with this book, thank you so much!
