Signed Limited Edition of 30 Fine Art Giclée Print

A limited edition giclee print of a painting of the area known as Exchange Gardens in Manchester, UK, featuring in the centre the Urbis building now serving as a Museum of Football. The area has been much redeveloped in the last decades and therefore I thought it would interesting to juxtapose this modern, urban landscape containing many new streamlined steel and glass buildings with tiny L.S. Lowry matchstick figures that appeared in his iconic Manchester landscapes where these figures were set in a background of ubiquitous heavy industry, terraced houses, factory chimneys and mills thereby drawing attention to the changing appearance of the city in the context of stereotypes that exist even today. The prints are hand-signed in traditional pencil, printed onto high quality, Hahnemühle German Etching paper and presented unframed. Sizes are approximately the same as the original painting 50x40cm with an additional 2cm border area. Series of 30 only.
