Lily is named after my mother; she died in 2007 so this blanket was made as a tribute to her.
Although she was a seamstress she also knitted and crocheted, she loved colour so I used as many bright colours as I could find, I’m sure she would of loved the blanket.
Size
Lily measures approx. 40 x 55 ins, (232 motifs)
(15 rows wide, alternate rows of 15 & 16 long).
Yarn
Lily is a scrap blanket and best made with oddments from you stash in as many different colours as possible.
However if you would like to buy yarn especially for Lily, I recommend the following yarns
Cascade - 220 Fingering (100% Peruvian Highland Wool), Heritage Silk (85% Merino Wool 15% Silk)
Drops - Alpaca (100% Alpaca), Alpaca/Silk (70% Alpaca 30% Silk)
Fyberspates - Vivacious 4 ply (100% Merino wool)
John Arbon Textiles - Exmoor Sock (85% Exmoor Bluefaced wool/15% Nylon)
Knit picks - Palette yarn (100% Peruvian Highland Wool)
