Description

Come and scribble owls with me in my new online workshop.

If you are looking for a guided way to explore drawing and / or mixed media art then this is the workshop for you! We are going to use an owl to focus and theme our exploration into loose and expressive drawing using pens and pencils, into layering and adding rich textures to our art and in basic use of materials like acrylic paint, pens and pencils.

There are warm-up exercises to help you build confidence with lots of tips to help you with your art and using your materials. Then we have two different projects to get stuck into, in the first main project we will build a mixed media owl piece with intuitive and organic layering and we will cover lots of different techniques including collage, mark making, painting a subject and glazing. For the second smaller project we will take a different approach and practice composition and planning skills in our mixed media art. There is even a fun bonus project to play with too! So lots to power your creativity and keep you working and playing in your own art practice beyond doing the workshop itself.

The workshop is delivered on a private webpage as mostly video but also as an online post of photos and text and a downloadable PDF with photos and text. You have unlimited access to the workshop for as long as I host it. The videos are also downloadable.

For this workshop you will need:
Acrylic paints in a range of colours, or be happy to mix the colours you want (I won’t be covering colour mixing in this workshop).
Drawing paper and heavier weight mixed media or watercolour paper.
Selection of pens (ball point, paint, brush for example) and watercolour pencils.
Selection of brushes.
A willingness to play and experiment.
Good internet access to be able to watch videos.
Basic computer skills to be able to login to the private workshop page etc.

What happens once you have bought the workshop:

1. Download and save the ‘Your Ticket To Scribble Owls’ PDF Etsy gives you the link to after payment is confirmed.
2. Visit the workshop webpage detailed in the ‘Your Ticket To Scribble Owls’ PDF and log in as instructed in the PDF.
3. Watch the Welcome video and familiarise yourself with the navigation of the workshop.
4. Sign up to ‘Scribble Owls Updates’ on the page to get your workshop PDF and owl reference photo to work from.
5. Do the course in your own time and at your own speed.

Please note that because of the nature of online workshops I can not offer a refund.

Just like Kim herself this is a delightful flower. I follow her on You Tube and was happy to get this lovely flower to use in my art journal

These are beautiful digis. They are big enough to create something larger but I used them for card-making. Jpeg and Png are in this file so you can use them just for coloring or use the .png files because they are transparent. Can't wait until she has more up here.
