If your parcel has not arrived by the expected date and you have not received a notification or a calling card, please track your parcel status online. You may find that the delivery agent has attempted delivery without leaving a calling card. You can then rearrange a delivery to suit you using the tracking number or arrange a collection from the local depot.

Please note that the destination delivery depot will only hold the parcel for a short while and the parcel will be returned to our office in the United Kingdom if you don't act. The customer will be subject to the return postage if the parcel is returned to the United Kingdom.

Yes, all our orders will be delivered to you via a signed for service. The delivery driver will obtain a signature whenever is possible. As a result, we can not deliver the order to a Postal Box or a Parcel Collect Address.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the leather we source matches the images on our web site, please be aware that as leather is a natural product and we use no artificial colouring, there may be some variation in shape, colour and texture. The leather may contain natural blemishes or grain marks, this is quite normal and forms the character of the bag - making each one just that little bit unique. This will not affect the quality or durability of your bag.

We don't think this will be an issue, as we are proud and confident of the quality of our bags. In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your bag, please contact us at sales@nichelane.com within 14 days of receiving your order regarding your intention to return the bag. Once you receive our confirmation, please return your bag to us in unused, original and resalable condition within 30 days of receiving your parcel. We will then give you a full refund for the cost of the product and if the bag is faulty refund the postage cost.

Please note that, unless the bag is faulty, you are responsible for the return postage cost.

A 15% restocking fee will be charged for any returned orders that enjoyed free international shipping.

We emboss our bags using the font Times New Roman in capital and you can choose from four different styles; Gold, Rose Gold, Silver and Blind. Capital letters are 6.3 mm high.

Some letters may appear to have wider spaces between them but this is simply due to the shape of some letters. Our team work hard to ensure your bespoke embossing is as well aligned as possible, but may not be perfectly straight.

The finish of the embossing varies depending on the grain and texture of the leather, which may affect the appearance of the foil.

Please ensure you check all spelling, grammar and punctuation. We will personalise exactly what you enter online and we cannot accept returns of products that have been personalised.

All our bags carry a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. If you detect a fault within this period, the bag will be repaired or, if necessary, replaced at no extra cost. Please note that we provide complimentary shipping of your repaired item back to you but we do not cover the cost of shipping your item inbound for repair.

We want to help ensure that your bag will continue to serve you well for years to come, so we also offer a repair service or provide spare parts for bags outside of their warranty free of charge where possible. Naturally, this is on the condition that we still stock the spare parts needed for the repair. Please note that the customer is responsible for postage costs for both inbound and outbound transit.

Vegetable tanned leather refers to the method of tanning the hide into leather. It’s called “vegetable” because of the plant-based elements used in the tanning process such as oak bark, fruit and small tree branches. Since there are no chemical components which are added during vegetable tanning process, it’s also environmentally friendly. As such, even if the water used in the process is discharged into rivers and lakes, there are less or no consequences to the environment. Additionally, the tanning process uses the plant powder which is less harmful to workers.

We love natural leather and that is why we choose vegetable tanned leather which has minimal treatment and coatings added to the leather; this means the natural grains and blemishes in the skin sometimes show through.  Any variation in shading and slight marks in the surface texture and appearance are natural characteristics and make each item unique.  The leather is therefore prone to marking and scuffing, just like leather should be.

For every day maintenance, wipe clean with a damp cloth. To maintain the original look of the leather, apply neutral or matching colour leather cream on a dry, clean sponge/cloth and rub evenly over the bag until completely worked in. This will refresh the leather and helps protect the leather from cracking; it also seals the leather for mild weather resistance (it will slightly darken the leather slightly and enhance the beautiful lustre of the leather).

The leather will naturally soften as you use it. Avoid getting your bag wet and keep in a cool dry place. If it does get wet, dry in a warm room, away from heat sources . Once dry, apply the leather cream as above.
