Lost [Lives Unlived]
A personal reflection on my journey through pregnancy and baby loss.
Following the urge to acknowledge the existence of our lost babies - too precious to deny or forget.
Talking about it means facing it fully, regretting - accepting - healing - slowly.
Remembering - always.
This book is an exploration of the delicate subject, about how to find healing.
It addresses why it is still such a taboo to talk about it and why this particular grief is often expected to remain private.
It aims to challenge this notion by breaking the silence and starting a conversation.
First published during Baby Loss Awareness Week, 9th-15th October 2020.
50% of all proceeds will be donated to Sands - Stillbirth & neonatal death charity.
"As a new year beckons this may well be the most important self-published endeavour I have reviewed in 2020 and one that absolutely embodies the power of the form in connecting creator and reader in ways that no other medium can. Critical evaluation feels superfluous here. If you read only one small press comic from everything published in 2020 then it needs to be this one." - Andy Oliver, Broken Frontier
