Filmmaker and photographer, Matthew Kaltenborn, found himself in limbo after the COVID-19 lockdown was announced in the UK. As restrictions eased, he ventured into the local Suffolk landscape complete with dog, camera and absolutely nothing to loose. What followed was unexpected...

Kaltenborn’s daily adventures revealed poignant stills that seemed to echo the feelings of the nation; abandoned houses, shipwrecks and boats stuck waiting for the tide to return.
These photographs come together to form a narrative that depicts a remarkable journey; from uncertainty and hopelessness to the discovery that there is much to be revealed when waiting for the tide.

This first edition photobook, printed and bound in Suffolk, contains all 36 photographs from the collection.
