⭐️Handmade from natural and sustainable materials, our stars are uniquely created through a close working partnership between India and the UK founded in 1996, a family friendship spanning 25 years and two generations. Each lantern is designed, screenprinted and handcrafted by artists, using traditional techniques, non-automated production, responsibly sourced paper, natural dyes – and two generations of skill and experience. Design inspiration is drawn from a wealth of sources – from the rich colours, intricacy and textures of Indian textiles to the cool neutral tones of a Scandinavian Christmas – creating timeless design for any occasion and any location.

How They Work

⭐️An atmospheric paper lampshade, classic centrepiece, or evocative Christmas decoration, our handmade Paper Starlights are masterpieces of 3-dimensional geometric precision, crafted in paper and designed to fit easily over a lightbulb or LED light. Each Starlight is flatpacked and consists of interlocking points of geometric accuracy. They are very straightforward to use – simply fold open each point consecutively and tie over a lightbulb or LED. See your flatpacked star transformed into a beautiful 3-dimensional source of light.

⭐️Our stars measure 60 cm from point to point when opened and come with full instructions. They are recommended for use with LED bulbs up to 7 watts, or low energy lightbulbs up to 16 watts - bulbs and fittings are not included with your star. They look fantastic with LED “fairy“ or “string” lights – just make sure they conform to the appropriate standards and that the bulb doesn’t touch any part of the star. The actual bulb wattage shouldn’t exceed 40 watts. Can be used indoors and in sheltered outdoor spaces.
