An A4 photo zine which is a collection of black & white film photographs documenting the 2020 lockdown in my hometown, the Lancashire seaside resort of Blackpool.
These documentary images were made on my daily exercise trips to record, as a time capsule, this unique time in the history of the normally bustling seaside resort. I adopted a stripped back approach when making the images: no grand vistas, one fully mechanical Nikon FM2n 35mm SLR, no colour, fixed focal length lenses and all made handheld.
All film was home developed. This is the first collection of images that I have produced as a printed zine. In the digital age, too many photos languish unseen on computers but the real performance of a photographer’s art should still lie in the print.
A4 size zine with 32 pages, professionally printed and stapled on 115gsm silk paper with a 250 gsm silk soft touch cover. Free UK postage.

I was pleased to receive this item swiftly. Having long been very fond of Blackpool, it was fascinating to see these excellent photographs of the town taken during Covid 19 "lockdown". The choice of black & white as the medium added to the poignancy of the empty streets, shore etc.
