Hello, I'm Melanie and I sell my handmade goods in my Etsy shop, Melvis Makes.

I started sewing in my teenage years, studying Textiles at GCSE and a Fashion and Textiles Art A Level. I didn't own a sewing machine myself until my late twenties when someone donated an old Jones to my cause. Now in my thirties, I've upgraded to a snazzy little electric Toyota and haven't stopped sewing since.

I am a lover of bright and colourful cotton fabrics as well as unique products. I try to create individual items so no two products in my shop will ever be exactly the same, with a variety of main fabric designs along with different colour combinations of blending fabrics, threads, zippers, ribbons and other additions.
