We are the photographers of Ancient History Encyclopedia (www.ancient.eu), a non-profit educational website that provides high-quality ancient history information to students, teachers, and history enthusiasts worldwide.

All members of this shop are volunteer contributors to AHE, and hundreds of our photos are found on the site, where they are viewed by millions of people every year. We thought that we could do more with our photos, however, got together as a group, and selected our most popular photos to get them printed. After seeing how popular they are on the web, it felt like the logical next step.

We chose Moo.com as our printer, simply because of their exceptional print quality and their commitment to responsible printing. We know that printing is never environmentally friendly (that's the sad nature of printing), but Moo is doing its best to reduce the environmental impact of its activities. Also, they print in the UK, not in a cheap labour market. Even though this drives up the costs, we believe that the exceptional quality of our cards makes it worth it.

The profits from this Etsy shop are equally distributed between all photographers involved, and we are also donating 50% of our revenue to Ancient History Encyclopedia, the website that brought us together and made our photos popular to start with.
