Inspired to paint!
Potteries-born Terry Woolliscroft enjoyed his entire career in the ceramics industry. He now works from his studio in the Staffordshire Moorlands.
He paints in acrylics and oils and having no traditional art schooling, is mainly self taught. He enjoys painting landscapes, seascapes and still lifes and adapts his diverse style depending on the subject and his mood. His paintings have found new homes here in the UK and as far afield as Japan, New Zealand, Arizona and Washington.
He draws inspiration from the rather special landscape of the north Staffordshire Potteries, and is influenced by Stoke artists Maurice Wade, Jack Clarkson, and Reginald G Haggar. He loves the work of Jiri Borsky, and Rob Pointon.
