About AdeleUyanCrochet
How My Story Began
My love for crochet started when I was pregnant with my eldest daughter. My mam and my gran had always made their own clothes and clothes for us kids when we were little, so I had the bright idea to make something for my baby girl, to wear when she was born. I asked my mam to teach me how to knit and began scouring craft blogs to find cute baby patterns. I soon became disillusioned with knitting, because I found it very difficult to fix when I made a mistake, of which I made many back then. I ended up having to restart my project every time I made a mistake! So soul destroying, especially for a beginner.
Whilst reading the craft blogs, I had come across lots of crochet patterns, so I decided to learn to crochet instead. I watched lots of youtube videos and read lots of how to crochet blog posts and decided to give it a go. I taught myself how to crochet and made my baby some beautiful clothes to wear, from hats to cardigans, to blankets to baby shoes. I soon realised that I absolutely loved crochet and it has been my passion ever since.
When I was first starting out, I used free patterns I found online, but I soon taught myself how to adapt the patterns to better suit my needs. Before long, I was able to just pick up a crochet hook and start free handing a pattern. I made sure to write my patterns down on a blog I kept for my eyes only, and so my little database of Adele Uyan Crochet patterns was born.
It had been a dream of mine to make PDF patterns to sell and free patterns for my customers, but it was one of those things that I wanted to do but never had the time to get round to. This year, I finally made myself make time to fulfil my dream and I listed my first PDF pattern. Hopefully before long, my shop will be full of Adele Uyan Crochet patterns and the beautiful things that have been made using them.
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my shop, I hope you will stick around, view my items, follow me on social media and maybe visit my blog! I am so grateful to all of you for letting me live the life I have dreamed of and for giving me a job I adore. I honestly can not thank you enough <3
