Second item I've purchased from afrocentric805 and certainly won't be the last. Such a lovely top, fits really well and is well made. Great comms and arrived really quickly with lovely packaging. Thank you for another quality item for my wardrobe!

Amazing customer service! Very kind. Kept me up to date. I love the headband and received lots of compliments on it. It was a redder than I thought, but that just means it'll be perfect for 4th of July!

About

Welcome to Afrocentric805, the house of African and ethnic inspired homeware and fashion

Thank you so much for visiting my shop!

So much has happened since we joined the Etsy world back in 2012, but I am glad that now I have a much bigger product range to offer you guys. Here's a little bit of info about me and my shop.

Born and raised in Zimbabwe, I grew up in a small mining town called Kwekwe in a humble little house #805. Now based in the UK, I studied for a degree in Clothing Design Technology and qualified as a Garment Technologist.

My inspiration comes mainly from my late mother, who I remember made such lovely dresses for me and my siblings when we were kids. I took over her old Singer sewing machine and since then, I have never looked back.

Afrocentric805 is a unique homeware and fashion brand created for anyone passionate about everything African, ethnic and tradition inspired. It's a house, a home filled with warmth and positivity, joy and happiness with products hand crafted to stand out and be adored.

You will find a lot of natural 100% Cotton Batik prints depicting traditional Zimbabwean culture, African Cotton Wax prints for a West African influence, sometimes but not always mixed with other fabrics and trims to give that contemporary but edgy look. My aim is to be able to cater not only for your fashion needs/wants but also your home.
