Hello, I’m Aimi Cairns independent jeweller and the face behind Aimi Cairns Jewellery. I create each piece of jewellery by hand from my studio in the North East of Scotland.

I first discovered my passion for jewellery making after completing three years of short courses at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen. Since then I have developed my practice for over a decade.

I love the processes of silver smithing and the various ways silver can be transformed. My designs are inspired by the simplicity of geometric shapes, and the shapes and textures found in nature. I create jewellery that is minimal and contemporary; intended for every day. My most recent work is inspired by Art Deco and Art Nouveau design to create bold, feminine statement pieces.

Returns and exchange details
Returns and exchanges are accepted if the buyer contacts me within 14 days of delivery and the item is returned to me within 30 days.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or defective:
Custom or personalised orders including rings made to size
Earrings (for hygiene reasons).

Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original unused condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. Shipping is non-refundable.
Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
Delivery / Shipping Policy - updated Jan 2021:

Processing time:
Every piece is made to order and ready to ship 3 within working days after purchase, unless otherwise stated.
UK Delivery:
UK shipping is by Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For or Special Delivery. Estimated delivery is 1-2 working days after dispatch and will require a signature on delivery.

International Shipping:
Estimated delivery is 5-7 business days from dispatch.
International shipping uses Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed - this provides a tracking code and confirmation of delivery and will require a signature on delivery.

Customers buying outside the UK are responsible for any and all fees levied by taxes or customs. I cannot be held responsible for shipping delays due to items being held by customs.
Once shipments have been dispatched I cannot take responsibility for their delivery.

Precious metal jewellery is a prohibited import to Australia and therefore I cannot send any items to Australia. Further information can be found on the Royal Mail website where you can view a full list of prohibited and restricted items

Sometimes the post is a little slower than expected, especially during holidays. Most items arrive within two weeks. If yours hasn’t, please get in touch so we can investigate further.
If your delivery address is outside the UK, please allow a little longer and get in touch if your order hasn’t arrived within four weeks.
Once shipments have been dispatched I cannot take responsibility for their delivery. 
Additional policies and FAQs

For band rings with no stone settings one size up or down: Free, just send it back without the ring box. You must cover the postage cost to return it to me and I will cover the cost to send back to you again. I will resize and ship your ring again within 3 business days of receipt. (UK only).

For band rings with no stone settings and more than one size: A minimum fee of £10 will be applied. Please contact me to arrange payment before returning your ring. Once paid just return the ring without its box. I will alter the ring and send it back to you as soon as possible. During busy periods this may be upto 2 weeks.

For rings with stone settings: Please contact me to request a quote for resizing.

Resizing service only available for Aimi Cairns Jewellery rings.


• Price quoted is valid for 4 weeks from issue date.
• Payment is required in full before commencing work. If payment is not received within this time the order will be cancelled.

• Upon receipt of payment the design is final and cannot be altered. Any amendments are subject to a new quote to cover additional cost for re-design, materials already purchased and consumables used.
• Cancellations and returns are not accepted on commissions or custom orders unless the piece is faulty. Customer must provide photos of the fault and return the item before a refund can be processed.

• Where the customer has provided precious or semi-precious stones to be used, high quality photographs will be taken by me before removing or resetting the stone(s). This can be used to verify the stones provided.
• It is the responsibility of the customer undertake independent valuation and verification of stones prior to work being carried out.
• The customer should be aware that there is a risk of stones becoming damaged during the process of removing and resetting them. Every care will be taken to protect stones however even a small amount of pressure on a weakened stone can cause it to crack, chip or crumble. The customer provides all gemstones at their own risk.

Can I have my ring resized if it doesn’t fit?

Yes, if you’re a size out I’ll resize it for free or for a small fee for bigger changes. Check my policies or the item description for more details.
