To get the most out of your candle, follow these steps.
During the first burn, leave the candle lit until the top layer of wax has melted to the edges of the jar, and you can see a 'melt pool' 1/4" deep. This prevents 'wick tunneling' and ensures the best possible scent throw.
Keep your wick trimmed to 1/4 inch after burning - this ensures an even burn and prevents mushrooming of the wick which causes excess smoke and 'spitting' when lighting.
Read the information and instructions on the warning label at the bottom of the candle.
Frosting on soy candles is a normal side-effect of hand-pouring in an environment which changes temperature and does not affect the burn or scent of your candle.
