About

The Buttercup Story

Originally my art beads where just for me and my handmade jewellery. But other people loved them too and asked where they could buy them, so I opened my first shop on etsy back in 2013. Since then my love for bead making has grown bigger than my desire to make jewellery and so bead me up buttercup was born. I still love all things beads so I extended my shop to selling beautiful Czech glass beads, findings and hand dyed silks that match my handmade beads.

My clay journey started after being introduced to it by a jewellery tutor. Since then I have self-taught myself using YouTube, books & many online tutorials. I was lucky enough to have a class with a well known clay artist Lisa Pavelka a few years ago. My inspiration comes from my love of colour and nature. Even though I didn't have any form of art school training people always tell me I have a natural talent & an eye for colour.
