I love making every item individually for each customer

Babahoot offers individually made personalised aprons and chef hats, pencil cases, toy storage trugs and knitting bags.

Based in a lovely timber framed cottage in rural Herefordshire, I look out onto a pretty cottage garden as I design and individually sew personalised embroidered items for my customers to enjoy.

With years of experience making for my own family, I have now abandoned my IT career and swapped to sewing full time.

The focus is on quality and individuality. The items I make are my own designs, are finished with bright individual appliqués. They can be personalised with names and they are constructed with strong overlocked seams and good quality fabrics. Additional features, such as adjustable neck straps, make garments more comfortable for your little ones.

I’ve been extremely fortunate and have lots of happy customers. I’m trying to increase the number of customers I can serve, especially at Christmas when I find myself turning away disappointed people because it is just me sewing as fast as I can to still keep good quality. So I have done two new things. I’ve treated myself to a multi needle professional embroidery machine so I can offer multiple coloured lettering and the machine changes the needle thread itself ( how cool is that?). Also I’ve teamed up with a company in Wales ( just over the border from where I live) who are supplying practical plain colour aprons so that I can concentrate on adding all the design elements, rather than sewing straps for hours! These aprons are in a separate section called plain colour aprons and have all my lovely fabric designs as pocket options and multi colour names embroidered on. Separate section is also so it is clear I did not make them from scratch and they are different because neck straps are not elasticated and the apron is heavier weight fabric so no need for lining. Just a different approach Hope you like it🙂

Can't see what you need? Contact me and I will be pleased to work with you to create the items you require.

I love the ideas my customers come up with, often combining fabrics from my shop in different ways or asking for items I hadn't thought of.
