About

Baskakova ceramics

Anna's design practice is driven by the physical properties and emotional qualities of objects. She looks at the connection between function and pleasure, intimacy of the experiences and social rituals. Over the last few years she has been researching the culture of tea and coffee drinking, focusing on social aspects and modern urban life.

She creates tactile and functional objects that explore the notions of joy of everyday things. Her objects are minimalist, mostly white, sometimes coloured, and designed to enhance a usual coffee or tea taking provoking a meditative, slow and indulgent experience. As a bigger mission, through her objects, she tries to challenge seemingly increasing pace of modern urban life, by introducing a gentle come back to the rituals of food and drinks consumption. They are all about taking time to relax and enjoy the moment.

All Anna's pieces and made by hand starting with a sketch. All her glazes are hand mixed and developed in the studio. Her favourite materials are porcelain, stoneware clay and plaster.

I make things that people use, keep and enjoy giving as presents.

Accepted payment methods

Payment
Payments are due within 3 days of placed order. I prefer to take full payment for custom orders in advance but it is negotiable for high value orders.
Shipping
Orders are shipped to the address provided on Etsy order receipt. I can not ship to the addresses requested via conversations.

Buyer is responsible for paying import duty in their country if applicable.

I offer a standard shipping from Royal Mail, no tracking, but other options are available. For postal insurance and alternative delivery methods, please, contact me before buying.

I post items within 3 days of received payment.

Damage in delivery:

I do my best to pack all orders safely, but no postal service guarantees a 100% no damage delivery (they are known to deliver even metal objects completely flattened). In case of a broken item, please contact me immediately to sort this out the best possible way. I will require a photo of the damaged item and the box inside and outside before proceeding.

If you haven't received an item by the time it was supposed to arrive, let me know and I will try to track it, if possible.

Delays is transport are beyond my responsibility. Please, try and buy in advance if you need an item by an exact date. Please, make sure you are aware of production times for made-to-order items. They can take between 2 and 8 weeks depending on the project. Please, let me know of any deadlines before buying to ensure I am able complete your order on time.
Refunds and Exchanges
I hope you will be happy with your purchase. If you change your mind for any reason, you will get a full refund as soon as an item is safely returned to me in the original condition. I can not give a refund for shipping. I can not give a refund for items broken on their way back. The buyer is responsible for paying the return shipping.

You have to contact me about it within 7 working days from the day you received an item.

Custom orders can not be cancelled, returned, exchanged and refunded unless damaged in delivery. I will always give a refund if something goes wrong with the making of your custom order (meaning: I realise I can not make it for any reason).
