Announcement    Virus Alert: I accept that the current situation may be cause for concern. Please be assured that all my items are cleaned again before shipping and that all the internal packaging is brand new. For the moment couriers and the Royal Mail are working as normal, but there may be substantial delays, Please contact me for any information. Thank you for your understanding at this time.

So vintage decor is still very much on trend. Particularly popular is 1960's and 70's coloured art glass.
The predicted colour of the year for 2020 is Classic Blue, but I don't agree with that. As an interior designer I am seeing more green - and all shades. Green is an optimistic colour that is embracing. And with the world's focus on climate change, I think we should see the influence of green for a number of years.

I have recently opened my own stand-alone website where more vintage items are available - mainly more for the Bohemian inspired interiors and will be blogging about living well with vintage. Please visit me at
www.bazaarcabotine.co.uk (You will have to cut and paste the link.)

Please feel free to contact me if there is anything specific you are looking for. Have fun shopping and please read the FAQ's or send me a message. I normally reply within 24 hours depending on time difference. I am UK based.

About BazaarCabotine

Beautiful vintage items for living.

Thank you for looking at the items I have found and my shop.

Being an interior designer, I often come across beautiful things and through Etsy sell these pieces to new owners. I try to source only those things I love - in this world we are only curators of material things for a short period and I like to think that you will enjoy and love these warm vintage finds.

I take great care to source stunning pieces that are well made and that have impact and hopefully, use. I tend to concentrate on things for the home, but if I find personal accessories I add them to the mix.

The number of items I have on offer keeps growing and I am having great fun sourcing the best vintage things I can find.

Over-payment on shipping will always be refunded - it is almost impossible to calculate shipping when you buy more than one item, and I will refund this promptly. I also try to get your items delivered as quickly as possible no matter where you are in the world. Please feel free to ask any questions and if you have not heard from me within 24 hours, then please message me again, as the message may have disappeared into the ether of the Internet. I am based in the UK and so there may be time differences to consider.

All pieces are packaged very carefully with cardboard, paper and bubble wrap. Please try to recycle these bits if you can to save our planet. All items are fully insured and tracked.

Thank you for shopping here with me. If you have any special requests, simply ask and I will do my best to source the item for you.

Frequently asked questions
Understanding Vintage

The items I sell here on Etsy are all at least 20 years old. Many can be classed as antiques, but I generally use the term vintage for simplicity. Vintage items are, by their very nature, old and have normally been used or displayed for many years.

I believe that vintage items can enhance any home, if displayed correctly. Many pieces too are useful and deserve a second chance. Where necessary, I do enclose care instructions.

Condition of Vintage Items

There may be wear and tear, patination and scratching to vintage items. This is to be expected. I do clean everything before I photograph it and try to only offer items in the best of condition.

I attempt to point out any obvious flaws in the descriptions. Feel free to ask more about an item if you are unsure.

Packing and Unpacking

Each item is very well packed - normally I wrap in layers of acid-free tissue, then in paper, and finally in bubble wrap. For multiple pieces, like a tea set, each piece is well separated and individually wrapped. The boxes I use may be recycled, but are always strong, and the box is very heavily taped.

Never unwrap any item over the open box. Never pull a piece out of the box - pull the surrounding packaging away first and ease the item out gently. Please.

Shipping - International and Combined

All items, are sent through Royal Mail or reputable courier companies, and are fully insured and tracked. Lower value items are generally not sent with tracking to keep the costs down.

I will combine shipping for multiple purchases - please contact me so I can adjust prices for you. If you do buy more than one item and over-pay on the shipping, I will refund - either through Etsy or PayPal.

I ship Internationally all of the time, and am experienced at packaging complicated items.

Gift Wrapping

I generally do not offer a gift wrapping service as vintage items are sometimes awkward and multiple pieces need to be packaged for transport. However, if you do want this, please ask and I will do my best to accommodate your request.

Conversations

Etsy has their own "convo" systems for sending messages. I generally try to reply within a few hours. I am UK based, so please be patient with time differences. If you have not heard from me within 12 - 24 hours, please check your Spam box. You can also email me directly at natalieaclegg@gmail.com.

International Shipping and Telephone Numbers

I often have to provide your daytime telephone number for an overseas parcel delivery. This number is for use by customs and to help expedite delivery, I never use the number for any other purpose.
