Blossoms, having been so named by my precious daughters, was launched in Caracas, Venezuela as a fresh floristry. Clients were Embassies, Country Clubs and Hotels. After a catastrophic family tragedy however the door to that business was permanently closed.

Thus, an unplanned and abrupt relocation to my hometown in Ohio followed and eventually, very eventually, Blossoms Two was launched ....... with training wheels. Having had to switch gears and with the support and talent of my sister Sandy, a newer alliance with Interior Designers throughout northeast Ohio was established providing permanent florals for residential and corporate spaces. Lastly but not in the least, welcome Etsy and e-commerce!

My personal evolution with dried wheat arrangements began in Aix-en-Provence where I was fortunate enough to observe rustic hand-tied bundles of wheat in shoppes and in the Chateaus. That became an soulful moment - returned back home and started cloning wheat in all sizes, shapes and genres. France was the protagonist not only for this design frenzy, but there began my large collection of vases and pots which traveled with me via carry-on when checked baggage was not sufficient. Most were obtained from the beautiful SIA shoppes, French nurseries and fleas. Some were found in other European countries but for sure wherever I've been or am, a pot usually follows.

When songwriters and poets write about a hum in the soul, it's true; it's what I hear and feel when I begin a project, large or small. This speaks to the common thought of loving what you do. I relish this world of gifts from nature whether real or imitated. I'm always on the hunt at every corner and in every dream for containers, luxurious ribbons, the perfect shells and absolutely the most botanically imitated florals and greenery.

When you’re purchasing any of the botanicals, keep in mind that you’re not only purchasing the botanicals or plant material, but the pot they’re wearing ….. all of which have been carefully resourced. Some of these containers are special and others, very special. Some have been purchased from Anthropologie and Terrain ….. just too good to leave on their shelves :)!

One thing is certain, no matter the genre, the addition of florals and/or anything green in any shape or size, brightens a space more than anything else can. If you don't agree just ask anyone who has experienced Spring when nature resumes her loveliness.
