Announcement   BlueBerryBagsMade4U will be having a stall at the Gloucester Vegan Christmas Market 11-4pm on Sat 1st December... very excited to be invited, see you there!
I now offer FREE SHIPPING on all my bags and will be re-using padded envelopes where I can to post them because it is greener.
I design and make bags and cases of all kinds using high quality materials and fabric with funky and quirky patterns, some of which are re-purposed fabrics from the 70s and 80s. One day I would love to design my own pattern for fabric, probably with a 70s retro feel...

About

Creativity is Fun!

When I was growing up in the 70s I learnt to sew and make clothes at school but the lessons were so technical that I found school sewing put me off learning to use a machine properly. So as a child and young adult I continued to sew everything I wanted to make entirely by hand.

Recently I finally got the opportunity to spend more time being creative and I realised I needed to learn to use a sewing machine properly. So I got some pattern making training and some sewing problem solving training and some one to one sewing machine lessons (thanks Martha!). I then bought myself a Bernina sewing machine with a 7 year warranty and made myself all the new bags I needed plus a few for some friends as thank-you presents. While I was handing over the presents in a local cafe, the cafe owner asked me to make them a bag and so my bag business journey began.

I am part of a local arts and crafts community in Gloucestershire where I live and we have two shops, one in Gloucester and one in Bourton-on-the-water where we sell our art and handmade goods. I love being part of this community and so now I am joining the virtual etsy community. Hello!
I also have an Etsy shop just for my vintage lace bags at:- https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/BlueberryBagsVintage

I started designing bags when I became a mum because I found you need more bags for all your extra bits and bobs. I choose colourful quality fabrics from eclectic suppliers and my favourite fabric designers are Sevenberry and Dashwood Studios.
